The building has a big glass wall facing east. During the morning, automatic blinds lower to keep the temperature under control. Something about the boundary between the blinds and the window frames produced this spectrum. I just stumbled across it while walking down the stairs. You can usually get it to launch by running the executable from Terminal. Which is fine for playing around, but it’s not been qualified on that OS so you wouldn’t want to use it for anything critical.
