@eludom how big are those? Did you get the split ones? You still use those? I think the Ctrl key seems to be at the edge, but I trust you can map it to, say, the return key — but can you change the keycap for it?

@eludom had carpal tunnel too, which is when I switched to an ergonomic keyboard. First at work (Microsoft Surface) and then at home. I got myself the Kinesis Gaming RGB Freestyle, which I still use to this day. I was actually looking at the Advantage 360 (I like split keyboards for the shoulders; also good to get one half of the way for gaming), but it’s a hefty commitment.

@brejoc Yes, two themes, responding to the theme you have on your computer. For the dark theme, I increased the text contrast against the background (the maximum “allowed” within the theme). I go through my posts and find additional things that I need to change. Slow process.

@Ray_On_Emacs I believe that’s what he does, and from my understanding, you can’t do this here. Prot’s mechanism is triggered by a word delimiter (I think that’s the right term?) that takes place after a certain symbol (so in “!word” and then space, it tells it to add “!” to the word delimiter). But in our case here, there is no word: it’s simply “-” so that mechanism is not going to work, there’s nothing to be triggered that we add to… At least, that’s my understanding.

@Miraz I hear you on that. I gave up on using one phone a long time ago because of this.

Fortunately for me, I get a phone from work, an iPhone, which I use for anything that is personal but not private (like banking or health-related stuff) because I figure my job knows these things anyway. For everything private (journal stuff, dating apps, etc) I have an Android. It’s possible to get those for cheap, pay-as-you-go plans (at least in the US), and if you want, you can also load the phone with a ROM that blocks the usual crap that Google does. If I lose access to my work phone tomorrow, I will get a used iPhone (in the US, that’s the “normal” phone most people use for most “normal” apps) for the same reason exactly.
