Well I personally use AI while programming:
* I can ask AI \"how do I do x using tools a\", and it'll come up with the function tool a provides to do x. The only other way to find that function would be to read through the whole manual of tool a.
* I often make small programming mistakes, and fail to see the missing (for example) comma. AI is really good at spotting those errors.

Not being a native speaker of english, I didn't understand 'deskilling' (I mean, I get the 'killing' part, but 'des'?).
So I asked an AI. Yes, it apparently completely misses the point (it isn't des-killing, but de-skilling), but did give examples like de-forest that made me understand it.

I guess that 80% means whatever tool judged the text estimates there's a 80% chance the text is AI, so a 20% chance it isn't (out of every 5 papers that get the 80% score, the tool estimates 1 would not be AI).
