@siracusa that is possible. WiFi at home uses 1.1.1.1 with 8.8.8.8 as a backup. What’s very confusing is the behavior follows me to cell networks which have their own DNS settings - and I traveled out of the country and it did it there too.

As I typed all this out I thought of “private relay” as a possible culprit - but that is disabled in iCloud settings.

I’m not sure what it is, but I’ve removed all the extensions and played with “blocking trackers for Safari trying to fix this. Safari on my iPhone has become unusable to the point where any new tab takes 30+ seconds to “resolve DNS” or start loading. It’s not DNS though. It’s a new behavior introduced in the last few months.

Installed Chrome and it works flawlessly.

I’m just annoyed there isn’t a way to troubleshoot or fix safari without having to wipe and restore.

@shayman I understand your perspective. From a health perspective and promoting reasonable serving sizes I think it’s fine. You can order it without a toy. There are folks who have had bariatric surgery or are on medication that would feel real sick eating one of the regular value meals….

Granted they can order a 4 peice nuggs or a small burger - but what’s the fun in that. Also, my response is more about ordering off the kids menu in general.

When we built out the Phoenix datacenter that proved to be interesting. Cardboard can’t be stored in the datacenter cages so we rented a storage unit.

@shayman My wife is Canadian (Vaughn, ON) and has lived in the US for 17 years now. I wanted to surprise her a few years back with tickets to an AHL game where they’d play “Oh Canada” so she could hear it in an arena. The Marlies and Manitoba Moose usually have a few games down here. I bought tickets for the Ontario Kings and it took me way too long to realize it was a feeder team for the LA Kings and I had made a mistake. The pre-game trivia mentioned California a few times and I thought that was weird … then it clicked. 😅

@mac84tv I’m getting +5.07 and +12.78 after a few minutes 12 seems to go slowly down, but not below 12.75. I know the pinout shows a -12v, but I don't think this board has a -12v for the DB-19 port based on what I read in some forums.

@rasterweb Raspberry Pi 4 8GB of RAM with a PoE hat so I can easily hide it in a central location. Probably overkill but this was back from when it was really hard to get them during the pandemic, so I believe I just grabbed whatever when it was in stock.

@rasterweb I use it on a Pi with a Zwave controller to do a bare bones way to automate turning on outside lights at sunset or fans based off humidity sensors. I only automate something I would do repeatedly anyways.

It’s not too bad, but I would never try to make a perfect dashboard or put too much time into it.

@major did you have the chance to walk the Brooklyn Bridge? When I worked at DigitalOcean, I would visit NYC and it was great. The financial district on the south end of Manhattan was always so quiet on the weekends. Taking a long walk in the morning was always interesting.

@GeekAndDad @danielpunkass the timer starts at inspection so you can look at it as much as you want. They have special ways to quickly memorize it.

There are a lot of interesting events. My son is doing a method to solve the clock puzzle without flipping it over for example. Theres another event where you take a piece of paper and for an hour work out the fewest moves to solve a scramble. I call it the \"homework\" event as it looks like everyone is quietly doing homework.
