I really wanted to use it more but it's hard to use and discovery of other federated places is not simple. You would almost have to have an in or have someone in the same instance so you can link yourself to it. I wish it was widely adopted though, it would be great. @manton good move, I have noticed other communities starting to make that same move and some have even moved over to matrix.org instead since it's open source and federated. I myself have started using slack less and less.
