@JohnPhilpin @dave wavelength is mantons app for recording & posting. It looks great, but I’d need a full micro.blog account to use it.
\nThere are WordPress plugins. I managed to get telex to make an audio recording block, which allows you to record in a block in a post. Saves an mp3 & converts to audio block.

Walk round Ardinning this afternoon. Cuckoos calling. Willow warblers & ravens heard. Corn bunting & stonechats seen & heard. Warm & breezy plenty of butterflies, mostly Orange Tips & Green-Veined whites, a Painted Lady. A few small red damselflies didn’t stay still although one landed on D’s hat.

I was planning a trip to the northwest of Scotland, close to the part of the Highlands where I’d grown up. I’d travel on public transport to locations from three favourite films. First stop: the lonely rail station at Corrour, as featured in Trainspotting – the highest mainline station in the United Kingdom, 410 metres above sea level. Ardinning this afternoon. Very sunny & bright. A few butterflies, mostly peacocks & some orange tips. A couple of peacocks spiralled up high. Cuckoos calling. At the bench beside the loch we heard a big splash. Looking round through the bushes we saw an osprey come out of the water & fly off.

Took the short walk to Greenside reservoir this morning. Lots of spring happening,  bird song, especially chiffchaff & willow warbler. Heard blackcaps (confirmed with merlin) and finally saw some. A cuckoo calling, the first this year. A few butterflies around including one small tortoiseshell.

This works, I got it from Alan’s dogged following & sharing of RSS information, tips & tricks. Great way to follow family on instagram. I’ve given it a quick test. Interesting that the feeds from instagram show images in Inoreader, but not in NetNewsWire or Feedland which both just show a title.

\nThanks for sharing this, there is a huge tension between ai fearful & fans, it is difficult to know what to think. Although this adds to the confusion it was a great read. Fascinating site to explore too. All the HyperCard reminiscences was more than a bonus for me, I spent quite a few happy years engrossed in HyperCard;-)

@rscottjones thanks for asking. I just started year 4 so I must be enjoying it. Makes me review my day. I hope recording it make me think a bit about the words and review a month at a time. Also gets me outside. Today I went for a wee rainy walk in the afternoon. I reminded myself I’d no note for today.

@jeremycherfas I think any birds are fine. My contribution last time I took part was the sound of a helicopter over the park at 5:30am 😀 they cut my stream pretty quick!
\nNot sure what you need for your pi, but I had a wee one with no WiFi but got a dongle.
