Så mycket snö! So much white! One meter overnight meant we spent a whole morning digging ourselves out of the cabin. It is incredible though. For me it is scenery from a fairy tale.

Check out the evolution of Lottan (the allotment) over the last few weeks. We have four beds that are 6m by 1.2m each; Just under 30 sqm of growing space. The covercrop of peas is a tangled web, and we’ve planted some winter salad in bed four. It’s coming together slowly but surely.

Vi har en ny tradgård! It was super wild so this year will mostly be taming the lot and preparing for the next growing season. We’re experimenting with a few different ways to tackle the weeds - tarping, cardboard (thanks Linnea!) and cover cropping. It’s so nice to have this space!

Visiting Hönö with Tanja and Matts (Tanja’s dad). We took the ferry out to the archipeligo, explored the town a little, had a swim (our first in the ocean this summer) and enjoyed a super tasty lunch. As we were caught out by a storm on our return to Göteborg Matts devised a makeshift raincoat.

Shrimp boat!

Actually it’s a 150 year old steam boat that now runs weekly all-you-can-eat shrimp dinners on Storsjön. Tanja’s parents took us out for dinner and it was a beautiful cruise around the lake.

Returning to the Swedish mountains with a overnight camp near Gräftåvallen. I brought our little lady bug tent from Australia so this was her first time in the mountains :)

On Sunday the Larkin clan came together to spread Nonna’s ashes. Nonna joined Poppa at their favourite holiday home at Terranora Lake. We all said a few words and then mum did the honours. Afterwards we had lunch together at the nearby pub. It was a simple event that Nonna would have approved of.
