I should mention I\"m not a professional programmer; I just have dabbled with it since C and Pascal were state-of-the-art. I like coding and just have an interest. Using Frontier for processing text files is something I have done professionally, but also Perl and Python. Swift looks cool, but I haven't had time for it yet. Recently I've done a lot of Arduino/similar IoT projects (hobby again) which use C for programming the micropressors. I guess my point is that C++ greatly hindered any progress I might have done.
