Bluetooth just cuts out for 10 seconds at a time, every minute or two. Looking for alternatives.</p><p>I never logged into any Meta services with the glasses and don't use the AI features. They are basically nice Transitions sunglasses with headphones built in. I use the camera occasionally, but rarely (moving pics off of it with no Meta account is a chore)</p><p>Easily 99% of the \"tech\" i use in these is the headphones. Open air podcasts + sunglasses are a perfect combination.</p><p>Looking for non-Meta replacements, but nothing too expensive. The first thing Jobs did when he returned to Apple was kill all the low-margin products and started preaching \"margin discipline\", encouraging engineers and designers to keep 30-40% hardware margins in mind when developing products. That famous “grid of 4\" wasn't a product decision, it was a financial decision.</p><p>He was all in on the “sweet solution\" of web apps on phones until he saw how much money could be made with an exclusive app store. He pivoted on \"no one wants to watch video on a 2 inch screen”. He relented on cut/paste (and context menus in general) on the iPhone. Spent years marketing about the “megahertz myth\" of Intel until he switched the computers to Intel.
