Since foundry deals are independent of what subscribers pay (as you stated), saying \"$5/month is not sustainable\" is a bit misleading. Are you claiming Adobe currently pays foundries more than $5 per subscription?

When reading The Anatomy of Type, @typographica referred to the digital version of Bembo as a \"feeble shadow of the metal type.\" Going on to say this was a common issue with early desktop publishing and revivals.
Was my observation about fonts getting heavier actually an observation that early digital fonts were much more frail than their metal counterparts?

The claims he is making clearly imply he has an inside source (potentially one who just got fired) with an axe to grind.
I'm not saying his reporting isn't true, but I wouldn't consider this to be a reputable source.
I'm always suspicious of stories that tell people what they want to hear with zero evidence.
