Articles like these arguing that LLMs can’t be conscious simply because they are “mere formulas” are just a version of Searle’s (debatable!) “Chinese Room” argument. (I don’t think they’re conscious either, but that’s not why.)

They show up on the blog and at least in my view of the feed, but still nothing here on here on micro.blog. (FWIW: I did notice that the www version of the feed URL took slightly longer to update.)
@help ok, that’s weird. It is in my version of the jsonfeed (and rss). Any (wordpress? Hosting?) settings that could somehow affect this?

The latest one (aside from this conversation) I see is “Just discovered that, on a clear day, we can see Mt Fuji, 90 miles distant, from our apartment building” but should be “Kind of obsessed with our view of Fuji-san.”
