I’ve found a TextExpander snippet that I used for support. It mentioned the previous name of our app, Trickster, “Blast”. When we released version 2.0, we renamed it to Trickster. This was in June 2012. So this snippet is about 14 years old now, at least. A Blast from the past, pun intended.

@JohnPhilpin yeah I know what you mean. I find his voice mostly ok and her uses his head voice well. But with backfield, I think that Aviv’s voice is worse. He has a distinct but a kind of an unpleasant voice. He’s a famous and influential songwriter but his voice gives me me a similar feeling to Geddy’s. It took me a while to get used to Geddy’s voice. I can’t say I like it but I can listen to it now.
\nI remember that in a couple of my songs when I was singing, someone “complimented” me that it sounded like Geddy’s. And I thought yeah, that’s not a compliment for me 😆. I now find other singers for my songs. Lesson learned.
As a guitarist, I don’t think that Wilson is phenomenal. But he’s really good for sure, especially on rhythm. Not such a strong soloist as the guitarists he hires, which is penalty why he hires them.

@bjhess I’m still to listen to the whole album more than once. I listened to the singles before and they’re pretty nice. Nothing is groundbreaking on the album. The cover song, where his daughter sings, is a really good song. Reminds me of Porcupine Tree. Gilmour’s own songs often lack some energy for me but they have nice moments.
