I’m no great fan of Starmer, but I take no joy from his resignation. It’s a strange one to me because, objectively, he seems to have been doing okay. Nothing terribly flashy or exciting, but steadily completing the work of government. Whilst not everything his party have done has been universally popular, that’s the nature of government. Compared to some of the disastrous leaders this country has had in the last decade, he’s arguably performed pretty well.

Remarkably Bright Creatures - 2026-05-17 - We listened to the audiobook on a roadtrip earlier this year and loved it. This is a solid adaptation if a little hurried. The screenplay has a few clunky moments as it struggles somewhat to bring the books key points together. However, it’s heart is exactly where it needs to be. Really enjoyable. 🎥

Spent a few hours at Mottisfont last Saturday with visiting family. One of our more local National Trust spots and a lovely house, gardens and surrounding area. Enjoyable morning despite slightly overcast and drizzly weather.

@manton Hola! So far as I can see, there’s no central issue raising location? Sorry for pestering directly. It looks like the “feed_url” property for a category specific JSON feed is showing the main feed URL, not the category feed URL. When you try to subscribe in something like feedland, it redirects to the main JSON feed.

@jason.dea.bz We’re there or thereabouts in places. The big problem is the attacking areas, we’re either not good enough or not hitting the level. Dibling is an exception, and Archer may get there but otherwise we’re really struggling and I’m not sure there’s a tactical approach that’ll change that.

@aeryn Something like Zapier triggers on RSS and lets you create RSS items as an action. So you can use it to move fields around and reformat or filter the feed. I used to use Yahoo Pipes for this sort of thing back in day. I miss Yahoo Pipes. 😔
