@dasparky I’m ex-EverNote, ex-Bullet-Journal. Currently adapting Forever✱Notes methodology because my iPhone is with me most reliably. But, my work equipment has a separate AppleID. The screen I’m looking at most often during the work day isn’t mine, etc. Every solution is conditional.

Re-doing the Re-do. Experimenting with Obsidian, today. Trying so hard to reduce dependency on platforms, but struggling with the correct paths forward. Apple Notes in a web-browser is slow. Keeping notes all over the place is broken. I’m struggling as are many who are looking for the one right way.

@writingslowly I’m a huge fan of the Em Dash. Especially a fan of how easy it is to type the Em-dash, ellipsis, and accented letters on the Apple keyboards. I think a certain type of person, myself included, loves uses appropriate typographic characters. I’m very much not a bot, but I can understand how someone not used to seeing those things could make an inference.

On Windows I pin Charmap.exe to my Taskbar, though I have memorized a few character sequences that use the left alt-key and the number pad.

When I change to a standing desk, I’m more apt to start walking when I’m ruminating. No destination in particular, but I have to pick one when I notice. Sitting in a cube farm at work, the behavior is not invisible.

I had really hoped more for phone features in an iPad, but the iPad features in a phone is compelling. I won’t be able to swing a gen 1 or 2 from a price standpoint, but if the reviews remain positive, iPhone Duo could condense my daily carry.

I see governments working on data sovereignty. I believe we need personal data sovereignty and, further, we need to ensure our ability to communicate with our communities and loved-ones is also unbreakable.

@mandaris It’s theme-related. I enabled a new theme and the tag went away entirely. I put the Hitchens theme back and the gobbledygook returned. I don’t know where the theme is pulling that from.
