@victor safari is still pretty glitchy. Like bottom bar style menus and sticky top bars jump all over the place on a lot of sites when you scroll, and if it’s something with a slide out hamburger menu it’ll put a solid colored block behind the address bar until you refresh the page… it just feels like using a half assed beta, and I’ve been using it since the first public beta. I guess mostly just visual things like that. Oh, and like on the Home Screen, icons have a hard time deciding what theme they want to be after changing to a different style, until you reboot your phone. Also, I’ve noticed ever since I upgraded to the first public beta, if you’re typing into a text field on pretty much any website and you wait too long before submitting it, it just freezes and you have to refresh the page for any buttons in the form to work. TBH it reminds me of back in the day when I used to flash custom android roms and random shit was just broken lol

@BrandonsJournal I believe it! I was suprised at how much better adblockers work on third party browsers than they do on Safari. I’ve paid for a couple different extensions on Safari and they’re all kinda bad about leaving big blocks of whitespace or leaving certain elements of the ad’s container behind where Quiche/Brave/even Orion all make it look like the ad was never even there to begin with. The only thing I really miss from Safari is iCloud Private Relay, but I’m realizing it’s not that crucial for reading blogs and browsing Lemmy lol.

@jkratz that’s good to know. The biggest thing for me is how glitchy the address bar gets in Safari. I’ve been using Quiche browser lately because it’s more flat and I’m too ocd about it lol there are definitely things about Liquid Glass that I like though.
