The purpose of any kind of daily reading practice should be to comfort and distress in equal measure.

A couple of days ago, fresh evidence of this was had first-hand by yr correspondent, who was moved to find that even an old cantankerer like Ezra Pound, so often & so easily dismissed, can occasionally hit one’s unconscious thought-targets dead on:

Yr correspondent spent last week in Paris finding out that yes, the coffee ads did not lie, the novels did not lie, it really is a beautiful city. Unsurprisingly enjoyed the Bois de Vincennes most of all for its Artificial Nature vibe. Will definitely come back, hopefully when its all green.
