@manton Wow, I’d forgotten about the Touch Bar! I thought it held such promise on release, and then never went anywhere. I mostly use a desktop, so I’ve still got my rMBP 13 from 2015, so I’ll hopefully have completely bypassed the Touch Bar, the Butterfly Keyboard and USB-C-only laptops by the time I upgrade!

@barefootwisdom I think there’d be so many logistical issues - I’d have to build elaborate plans to exist without being detected as an immortal being, and that might estrange me from the people I love. But I’d love to see where the world goes in 500 years, just like episode 9 from The Sandman.

@manton Shared set of facts? I used to deliver newspapers 20 years ago. Streets would be full of different newspapers that each prioritised alternate sets of facts. As a kid, nothing teaches you about the political leanings of different media like looking at 5 different front page headlines.

@barefootwisdom 100% I have an old 2015 MBP. It’s still a great laptop, and no iPad is a better laptop yet. I do love my iPad, but not as a laptop replacement.
