@dns13 @manton codex by default auto compacts at 272k and is generally configured so you don't really think a lot about context management. there are tradeoffs with that approach of course (e.g., drift), but it's great for looping or goal tasks that will be running for extended periods of time. Other harnesses can do that, but don't set it as default. For claude and similar, better to try and have a detailed plan up front where the orchestrator agent is assigning the tasks to other agents to keep its context low

@overcastfm @marcoarment Thanks for the great update. I think the most disruptive bug I’m experiencing still is the limit set on playlist episodes. My playlists are largely unusable as podcasts are showing as many as 15 episodes despite being set to a limit of 3

@davemark Required by who? Government? HOA? Either way, restrictions of any type risk depressing property value. Sellers are certainly welcome to have a preference like this (some do). It’s hard to imagine how it could be required or enforceable by government. If a development shares this preference, their HOA can make it policy and enforce it. Easiest done in the beginning though because many people won’t agree to it later if they bought under more relaxed rules

I just wonder if among those who oppose quote tweets or locking comments, there is possibly a meaningful subset from each group who wants the other feature—I think there is a relationship between them and they in part mitigate the concerns of the other feature—and might consider it a good compromise to get both

@caseyliss It seems to me the two features go hand in hand. If you want to comment on someone’s post but they don’t want discourse in their timeline, making it easier for you to do in your own timeline may be a reasonable alternative

@gruber I keep DnD on my mac permanently for this reason and take my notifications on iPhone and iPad only instead. Similar to how the ringer is permanently off on my phone. Context-aware settings automations aren’t always reliable enough for me, and device-specific settings haven’t introduced difficult tradeoffs
