@nedbat Interesting. I've actually not heard of a migration of email filters. Also note that Proton's own filter can not read the body of emails (by design) so filters like that won't work in the web interface, but could be reproduced on a locally installed email client.

Just have to be very aware of their shortcomings and it generally works well. As I’m fluent in both languages I can easily catch the mistakes, but the plausible but wrong responses are the ones I worry most about when it comes to people who rely on these for understanding.

@axbom My thinking is that big tech are capable, but also very large and hence work in silos. They are more prone to attacks and communication between critical departments not always up to par. And of course they also use a lot of subprocessors, sometimes with limited insight.
