@Mtt I applaud you for this. Every time I see a child’s face on the internet, I cringe a bit. My kids were all raised pre-internet, but if I were raising kids today they’d never in appear in photos except in private emails or something similar. @bobwertz I think the truck bed length is another red herring. Again, people ought to be realistic about what they’d be hauling. Most people have the impression they’ll be hauling 16’ lengths of 4x4 posts. The truck will be quite adequate for daily use. Americans have been so conditioned by advertising and other factors to always buy more than they truly need: more house, bigger restaurant servings, large trucks, bigger motorcycles, more powerful computers. My visit to Japan really brought home how much less people actually need to have a comfortable life.

The average American drives 37 miles a day. 200 miles is the better part of a week of average driving without needing to charge. And I see these units are compatible with the Tesla charging network, the largest in the country.

@drwalt Yes, I use a 120V 15A outlet on the side of my house to charge the Leaf. It takes a long time, but one overnight charge can last quite a while as long as I am not doing any commuting. For the Leaf, I would not spend the extra $$ to have a 240V line installed. Models with bigger batteries might need it, however. YMMV.

@drwalt I believe so. MB has the ability to transcribe an audio podcast, probably at a higher level. Personally I reflexively distrust any service that wants a subscription or offers cloud storage, regardless of their statements on privacy. Heck, even YouTube offers closed caption transcriptions.
