I’m not sure quite what all I’ve done to make it work. A good chunk of it is all yelling at chatGPT to teach me some basic web stuff, and figuring out how to get everything set up right with the icon integration.

Also not sure if you noticed, if you live swap between light and dark mode, the card borders in style B should auto update to match the website. That was frustrating to work out.

@DaveyCraney I really do have a love hate relationship with those pages. They’re great as a consumer I can quickly get to what I want out of a creator if they’re selling something or making longer form videos. But it’s a pain when folks forget they use these types of pages and then never update them. I can’t see myself using them as I’m not doing enough stuff out here to begin with, nor do I ACTUALLY want massive amounts of people finding my stuff. I just want a handful of actually dedicated folks that care about what I’m doing.

@DaveyCraney Glad I’m not crazy about Plex. It’s like, I can understand it struggling to stream a 105mbps 4k file to my phone over wifi, but over hardline gigabit to the Apple TV? Cmon. As if I wasn’t already fighting equipment to get the setup I want. I will say so far, one killer feature for me with Infuse is the ability to adjust the audio sync down to like a 10ms increment. That’s been a fight for me already. I’ve got a philips hue HDMI hub for lights control, the TV, and then the receiver that all have to pass down, then decode the audio. Hasn’t been a huge issue with just music, but man even 50ms of offset gets to me.

@DaveyCraney Not the only video platform I’m frustrated with TBH. I’m running into more and more issues with Plex as they increasingly deviate from their humble beginnings and try to become another streaming platform. I’ve got lord knows, close to 40TB of archived media, and while the Plex server client is still good at sorting all the content, their playback apps are suffering. I’ve got the network capacity to handle the most demanding content I’ve got, but somehow it just struggles to load local playback, and some video files, even with lower bitrates just chug and sputter out a low framerate. I can switch to their older playback engine and loose HDR and Dolby Atmos playback, so there’s that… In the meantime I’m playing around with the Infuse video player which aims to replace the broken Plex client app. Time will tell. I’m also realizing now this is a rant that needs to go on the main part of my blog. So stay tuned for that I guess. ;)
