At least half of the technical problems Iā€™ve ever dealt with in my life werenā€™t ā€œobstacles that had to be solved forā€ so much as they were small points of friction that added up. If itā€™s worth doing, itā€™s worth smoothing the way first so you can do a bunch of it.

I opened Unity and, for once, nothing broke. So, to get settled in, I did that thing Iā€™d been meaning to do: I updated the settings in my Documents folder so that I could move the project where I want it to be in my file system.

Updated my micro.blog subscription today because it bugged me that I couldnā€™t attach a bunch of videos to a post earlier this month, and it was still rolling around in the back of my head this week. Iā€™ve been getting a lot of value out of it so far, so the extra $10 per month seems worth it.

Audiovisually, the new šŸŽ®Star Fox is a masterpiece. The campaign is a 1:1 recreation of Star Fox 64 but the multiplayer is an excellent (if barebones) modernisation. The updated story and dialogue clarify the premise, world and lore in some charming ways but otherwise leave a lot to be desired.

Twitch is finally rolling out Dual-Format streaming. TikTok was way ahead of them on this count, but forced users to go through its proprietary streaming software to use it. Hopefully repurpose.io and other cross-platform solutions will catch up quickly.
