\nIn Canada we have been dealing with the horrific situation of how we have treated Indigenous people in this country for over a 100 years. It has been difficult to hear these stories when you know they happened in your lifetime. I have had to relearn history, challenging to say the least. I daresay your civil war is still unresolved history.
\nWhat has come out from our situation is a the TRC (Truth and Reconciliation Commission). We have learnt that you first need to hear and understand the truth, then you move to reconciliation. That is so important. It is painful but it is necessary. Truth first and then reconciliation. Without it no one moves forward.

Ukrainian refugee count in Denmark
\n\nA new report from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) has put a number on the Ukrainian refugee wave that fled into Europe after the Russian invasion. It says in the last nine months more than 165,000 Ukrainians have poured into Europe, applied for, and received temporary protections, to seek safety from the war. This number is likely an underestimation, not being able to take into account Ukrainians who didn’t apply for some kind of asylum and either returned home after a while or left Europe for other countries abroad.
