@tommy I’m of two minds about subscriptions. On the one hand, I think they really perfectly align user and developer interests. On the other, they can be opaque and can seem heavy.

If Apple could make subscription management much better, I think that would go a long way.

@tommy App fatigue and oligopolies are real, but that’s why niche makets are so important. Even if someone spends just 10 mins a week in an app, it’s a positive experience if it saves them an hour or more of frustration.

@tommy I dunno, it's also easy to forget how very large the ecosystem is; a very small, dedicated niche can support an indie app. I think that's why Apple is pushing subscriptions.
