That in turn got me thinking of a great gift my kids gave me when they noted that one must always ask, “For whom does this solution ‘work?’” Often, the answer is, “For the powerful.” But even if If the answer is, “For the majority of people living in a particular time and place,” then that raises the next question, “What encumbrances, if any, should the majority be willing to assume to lessen the burdens on those who aren’t in the majority?” (These are questions that I infer propel much of @ablerism’s work.) And how do you arrive at an answer to that question?

So, A Pattern Language contains, or at least generates, multitudes – from “Where do I put my windows?” to “How do we order our polity?”
