Obviously it's also illegal to register to vote if you're NOT entitled to! The local council sends out a form each year to every household that needs to be updated if there are any changes. A few weeks before an election each registered voter is send a polling card which states which poling station they must vote at. Mine is a five minute walk from my house. You don't need I.D to vote although during the last local council elections there were a few constituencies where I.D. procedures were put in place as a trial.

\n\nI see statements on Virgin's vans saying the network is expanding but I don't know where. We've had several speed increases in the last few years.

I've not been a BT customer now in over twenty years, ever since I was living in Kent and the street was cabled. I live in West London now and am still lucky enough to live in a cable area.
\n\nLiving in the US for several years the cable (Comcast) was very unreliable, but here in the UK I've personally no complaints about Virgin. It seldom goes down and it's a decent speed.
