@camacho I went through this. I downloaded and deleted Obsidian several times before I actually started using it for the same reason. But once I actually committed to using it and found some themes I liked, it just stuck and I haven’t looked back.

@abc that was my experience with wordpress as well. It was also very clunky to set up and not particularly mobile friendly. Micro.Blog is just flexible enough for my needs while still feeling very lightweight and having a good set of options.

@abc Well, I tend to agree because most of my posts do contain titles. I’m using Micro.Blog definitely more as a traditional blog site, but I really like the light weight nature of it. It has just the right amount of features for my needs, although I’d love to see some more plugins for it.

@abc It has all the features I want, good price, easy to use on Mobile, and integrates with mastodon. I’ve tried a few ways to blog, including Obsidian Publish, and Micro.blog is my favorite. It’s “light” blogging, which I like, but I have the option of going deeper. Also the social aspect of it is really nice.

@abc Regarding Obsidian, I started and stopped using the app for probably 6 months. It has a learning curve but once I learned how to use it, I found it absolutely amazing. Mostly, I love that I truly OWN my files.

@umerez You are definitely not alone. I get the concept of the app and what it can do, but the UI is so cluttered and confusing. I wish Taio had more published actions because I find the UI of that app so much nicer to use.

@pratik Yes, I am trying Drafts as well, but I have always hated the interface of that app (I know, controverisal opinion). That said, Drafts is more cost effective. I didn’t test it out with photos but will do that next. Thanks!

@agilelisa It is crazy but also a testament to the determination of so many awesome people who went out on a limb to make this happen. @ericgregorich thanks I might give Ulysses a try. I tried obsidian and I got one post to work, but then subsequent posts resulted in an error. I’ll give it a go again tomorrow. Each app/approach seems to work for some things but not others.

@mbkriegh I’ve become a heavy user of Apple Reminders and Apple Notes in the last couple of years. They’ve been massively improved and have very little friction if you’re mostly in the apple ecosystem.
