@christopherchelpka The historical comparison is extremely interesting, with a lot of information with which I wasn’t familiar. I’ve tried to use the ESV as often as possible over the last few years but lately am finding the NET version useful as the companion to the EasyEnglish Bible which is, of necessity, my first choice. Not sure if I will even keep up with the ESV these days, and Dr. Wallace has done a good job of explaining what I have only “felt”. The other article also explained more about the version that I hadn’t known…but I really enjoyed these links today.

@anniegreens It sure has devolved from its beginnings…as a source of information I can’t believe it anymore (and haven’t since it became a money-maker). And the “people” with whom we converse? Are they really? It showed such great promise.

@ner3y I always had a guinea pig as a child, starting when I was about 10 years old. They are lovely for children with patience, quite interactive and even affectionate, and very fun to watch, especially if you have more than one with plenty of space to play! I think they are great pets, though as with any, it depends on the children of course.

@drose Top-of-my-head thought: Don’t poke each other with sticks, esp about things that have no eternal value, is my #1 thought. Much conflict is totally unnecessary and SHOULD be avoided, actually - most of what passes for facts are actually opinions, for example, aren’t worth risking Christian unity over.
