Like even when the overlays go away, why am I seeing two flavors of closed caption? Full screen of a vertical video looks like garbage. WTH. By the time I orient and set everything to look better, the video is over.

There’s also a brewery I follow that has stoped taking real product shots of their beers and just generates AI shots instead and it’s really frustrating how bad it looks.

I’m not using social media so I really don’t see AI generated content that much but now that some blogs that I follow via RSS are starting to use it, it’s really annoying me. I’ve experimented with some AI generated blog content but you can tell it’s not real. Just reads robotically.

Did heathers brakes today. $550 in parts. Pads and rotor all around. Took me 4-5 hours and I saved $1100 by DIYing it. Rears were metal on metal.

@rscottjones Good point. As long as shows still let you just listen to audio, it’s fine. I’m just worried that listening to podcasts will go away and I’ll lose access to my driving audio since I only listen to podcasts while driving.

The Apple Watch Ultra 4 lasted 84 hours with the screen off before I hit 15% battery life remaining. I recharged it in 90 minutes using one of my chargers (not sure if that was fast charging). That’s 3.5 days on a charge…probably could have gotten the full 4 days.

Saturday at 6AM, I took Apple Watch Ultra 4 off the charger. Monday at 10AM, I’m at 46% battery. It’s about a day longer than I experience with my Ultra 2 after battery degradation. I should get a full 5 days.

@caseyliss - I’ve had two Golf Rs and each one sold for just slightly less than I paid with 50,000 miles on the ODO. They are produced in very limited numbers. I try to push GTI folks to the Golf R simply due to value retention for not much more in sticker price.

Related, a month ago I moved to Claude’s Max plan ($100 a month) because I was spending about $100-$150 a month in credits. Haven’t had to spend any credits since. It’s been nice to just budget for the AI usage and I’m really pushing the models to do more complex things every day.
