I was going to write something about it being interesting that Twitter was testing an 'Articles' feature which, if suspicions are correct, might let users write long form pieces. Then I remembered that I don't actually care. There is no way I'll be returning to the service so what it do... colinwalker.blog

@colinwalker Same here, this only potentially eliminates the awkwardness of having to read threads. It doesn’t change the fact you’re giving your content to them and their corporate silo, and that’s exactly what they want.

@pimoore @colinwalker it's a good feature for people who cross post to twitter

@hjertnes @colinwalker True, though this is all assuming Twitter allows cross posts to work with this feature…

@Gaby @hjertnes That’s my thought as well, Twitter cares more about their own interests and profits than looking dumb. I’m happy and willing to be proven wrong though. 😉

@pimoore that's kind of what companies should do. I think a lot of stuff is easier to navigate, deal with and understand when you accept that companies exist to make a profit.

@hjertnes I just feels like an exclusive feature designed to suck you in and force you on to the platform. I could be wrong.

@colinwalker @hjertnes Agreed, I would be very surprised if this wasn’t locked behind their Blue paywall.

@colinwalker It might be exclusive to their native apps to see them, but I think it is in their interest to get as many people as possible to push their content into it, so that people read the articles on twitter instead of clicking a link in the tweet
