Guess who installed Windows 11 and can now easily run Linux GUI apps without having to jump through all the hoops that were once necessary? Quite impressive… And my laptop (supposedly built in 2013) is not even officially supported for Windows 11, but still runs great!

@jlelse that’s seriously cool, last I was aware they had only ported the Linux command line to Windows.

@pimoore WSL2 was already a huge improvement. But now it seems to be even faster and with gWSL it's also possible to run graphical Linux apps without installing a X Server first.
