I’m considering participating in Inktober this year. I’d also love to be in NaNoWriMo, but I don’t know if that’s just to much for two months.

@odd What if Inktober inspires your NaNoWriMo?

@Sylari That could happen of course, but I always like to make a disposition for fiction I’ll write well in advance, and I haven’t even thought about it yet.

@odd I did them the same year one time and found it was too much "daily challenge" for me, but YMMV 😊 I had also done MerMay earlier in the year so that may have added to my mental burden. Have you done either before?

@tracydurnell Thanks! Good to know. No, I’ve never done any of them. Now I got to check out MerMay.

@odd you're in for some fun whether you choose to do both or just one! I find the NaNo community to be very welcoming - they have a very active forum and you can join a local chapter - and met a bunch of friends at write-ins before the pandemic. Things are probably starting to warm up in the forums around now, and the org often hosts prep events during October you might check out. If you decide to do NaNo feel free to add me as a buddy, I'm kaeldra 😊

@tracydurnell Thanks! I’m going to definitely consider doing it, but I guess I’ll have to see late October, if the Inktober has left me mentally drained. Good to hear about all the options, and the warmth of the community! ☺️👍
