denny.micro.blog@Denny It looks a bit like Red Fly-mushroom as we call it, (rød fluesopp), which is almost the same as you called it.
@odd in a better universe it would be called the candy apple spice mushroom and would be edible - sweet, salty, spicy, and delicious. ďżź Unfortunately in our timeline it will kill you, or make you very sick I donât know which really. I just know theyâre not to be eaten!
@Denny Yes, same with our fluesopp. Your kidneys will eventually fail, unless you get pumped (out) pretty quick. đ
@odd Yup. Wikipedia says citation needed for use by the Sami, but I think it is true. Citation is given for indigenous people of Siberia.
@jeremycherfas In the Norwegian Wikipedia-page it says that there hasnât been recorded any deaths from it, (contrary to what we were told as kids). It also says it has Muscimol as the most potent hallucinogen.* It doesnât mention the Saami, but notes that in Eastern Europe it is cooked several times, with fresh water every time, and used for food. đ
*) Iâve heard stories about the Vikings, and that they were getting high on this, but I assumed that was only tall stories.
