@amit They are not the most comfortable way to get around, true. For short rides, they’re bearable. The wheels are too small, no suspension on most models, it’s not perfect.
@jemostrom I’ve read somewhere that, predictably, even with no ice and snow, visits to the hospital increase in every town where they are available.
@maique yep, that happened here. And apparently there are more serious "face accidents" according to the people at the ER

Recent Atlantic article lamenting the shortcomings of legislative imagination as if it were a technology problem, and a similarly pointless comment from Vice gives us a taste of the potential “public debate” to come.
I am a recent and very happy owner/user of a foldable step-through class 2 e-bike and it is a great solution for the lifestyle/climate I find myself in.
@bkryer Yep, I like the idea behind various e-transportation (got an electric car myself) but I seriously doubt the implementation of how e-scooters have been done. Not personal scooters but these company scooters that can be found anywhere. I like that they are easily accessible but not how they are used (some people drive really in-responsible) and "parked"
