The electrification of large vehicles is continuing. For the first time, I just saw and not heard an EV bus. Must say that seeing a bus accelerate out of a roundabout without hearing a loud diesel engine was a unique experience.

@lmika That sounds lovely! More of this, please! They have a few on bio-gas here, and it’s better than nothing, but EV buses would be nice. Yeah, and trucks! 🚚💨
@jemostrom We’re lagging behind, as usual. Hope they will get the infrastructure and plans to realize this soon.
@jemostrom Yeah, no surprise that we’re lagging behind as well. We do have electric trams but, of course, they need rails. As someone who occasionally needs to take the bus, and wishing that a tram was available, this feels like the next best thing.
@lmika @odd well, not all buses are electric but some. They have been experimenting with different types of buses for quite some time. The electric buses have had major problems, and 4-5 years ago it was common with articles in the local press about all the problems they had. But I don't remember seeing this the last few years. I have to admit that I don't use the city buses, I usually walk instead.
