I am not a horror movie fan. I have seen a few over the years but do not enjoy them. With age, my patience with them has further gone down. I do not watch this genre at all anymore. Or so I thought. I was recently reminded of my dislike as I read this list from the editors at Rotten Tom... www.amitgawande.com

@amit I'm not a fan of blood & gore genres of horror (think Hostel, Saw, etc.) but like psychological thrillers. I don't mind jump scares either. I absolutely loved The Ring. Unfortunately, the rest of the people in my family are absolutely terrified of even mild horror so I've missed out on several good ones (The Babadook) and it's no fun watching alone. I made an exception for Get Out and loved it.

@pratik Gore stopped being watchable right after Saw. I liked that. Didn't any after that. And i absolutely hate jump scares, even though I did enjoy The Ring, Paranormal Activity and a few others.

@amit I'm with you. Psychological thrillers, or creeping dread-based horror, are fine but I hate gore and I hate jump scares 😅 I very rarely watch horror movies because of that.

@jayeless I am sure we aren't in absolute minority :P Horror movies are not for all.
