@tracydurnell So pleasing to see so many female author names! I'll be interested in what you think of Caitlin Doughty's book. I haven't read it but follow her work via a tiny Patreon sub.
@Miraz agreed, I try to pay attention to who I'm reading! With nonfiction it's very easy to fall into reading mostly male authors.
I like suggesting new books by women for the library to buy (they'll only purchase books pubbed in last 2 years) -- Design for Safety was one ππͺ I noticed the collection of books about women graphic designers was non-existent so I pointedly requested suggestions to draw their attention to the gap -- but instead they recommended me books on women fashion designers π€¦ββοΈ I don't feel like I should be tuned in to new diverse books and noticing these holes in the collection more than the acquisition librarians but I seem to be π€·ββοΈ
