YouTube has ratcheted up the ads. I see one on every video now, many unskippable. Perhaps it is the time of year?

@cdevroe Maybe they want to sell more YouTube Red subscriptions?

@cdevroe When I made money on mobile ads, there was a huge boost of spending in December and then a huge drop off in January. So, sounds expected -- though annoying.

@canion That could be. With the amount that I use YouTube every single day I am thinking a subscription is inevitable.

@zorn I try to keep the perspective that the value I get out of YouTube far outweighs the amount of time I spend watching or skipping ads. Though, the amount I'm seeing right now strains that.

@cdevroe @canion When I subscribed to YouTube Red earlier this year it completely changed how I watch YouTube. It's a much better experience.

@manton @canion Over the last few years the amount I watch YouTube is very surprising. Far more than TV. For pleasure, learning, work. Worth subscribing.

@canion I have a family Red subscription and I see no reason to go back!

@manton are you referring to something other than it not showing ads? My brother seems to think a better algorithm works for you when you pay for Red.

@nitinkhanna Interesting. I was just referring to no-ads.
