@mandaris A couple of times I've had a steroid shot to help fend off seasonal allergies. It's helped where my hayfever-preventing nasal spray didn't work any more. I despise hayfever pills etc.

@mandaris I have been on many, many alergy drugs. Zyrtec (well, a generic version of it called citirizine) has been the best for me by far. I've used it for 10 years straight and it still works really well. I take it at bedtime, so if it makes me drowsy, I don't really know. Is Zrytec the one you hate? If not, and if you haven't tried it, maybe you should.

@mjdescy @Miraz I haven’t tried the nasal spray. I might look into get a shot or just taking the medicine at night. As for what medication, it’s a generic Costco brand.

@mandaris @mjdescy I used to use Beconase — it works to block the allergen receptors, so it prevents symptoms rather than relieving them. After some 20 or 30 years of using it happily though I moved to a place where different plants 'get to' me and I guess it lost efficacy.

@Miraz @mjdescy Yeah, my kids used to go to a school that had a tree that would make me start sneezing every-time that I got near it.
