@wearsmanyhats I think I’m just interested in exploring something different. And in terms of my computing needs, my iPad and iPhone do the vast majority of the work. I really only need a personal laptop when I’m working on some code-level changes to my websites — a browser, text editor, and FTP client. I think Linux would be sufficient for that.

@mdrockwell I kept an extra SSD with Manjaro, and used to boot into that on the MacBook Air every time, except when I needed to use Lightroom. The constant fan going at full speed updating Photos drove me crazy (still does!) and I was very happy living on the Linux side. Had a lot of fun, and it was great for almost everything. Missed a couple of apps, but no big deal.

@mdrockwell I've been using several distros on my ThinkPad T430s using a secondary SSD. Garuda Linux, Manjaro, Elementary OS, Pop OS!, and a few others. Manjaro is my main distro and works great on my old Macbook Pro 20212 model.
