@cdevroe Signed up already, seems like a great idea as well.

@cdevroe Thanks for mentioning this. Signed up (I think).

Wasn’t Apple going to do something with auto-generated email addresses? I’m not sure what happened with that.

@the Apple is doing this in the next releases. Mozilla also has a similar service.

@the I believe they have already implemented this when using "Sign in with Apple" and you choose to hide your email from the website you're signing up for. More here.

@cdevroe Thanks for that link.

Unfortunately this doesn’t seem to extend to using ApplePay. (The experience I’ve had is that ApplePay has passed the email address associated with my AppleID to the vendor, something I very much don’t want. Maybe others have had a different experience?)

@the my brother and wife have had the opposite experience with ApplePay - Apple doesn't pass the actual credit card info to the vendor, making returns a pain because now the vendor is refunding to a "fake" credit card... Strange times...

@nitinkhanna Yes, ApplePay hides my credit card info too (as far as I know), but I have received email directly from vendors several times (nothing in the headers indicating a redirect).

@the I don’t believe Apple Pay should ever share your email. It isn’t the same as Sign up with Apple.

@cdevroe yup: rate the idea of email aliasings as "ducking" under the trackers. Top DomainH.ac/k !!
