@manton anything is possible, given I wrote the entire stack :P

Looks like I've got my morning work cut out for me. Thanks for the info.

@matigo It's because your feed URL domain name is different than the link tags in your post, so Micro.blog thinks you're linking somewhere else. If the domain names match, the link goes away. Is it possible to update that for custom domains using 10Centuries?

@petebrown is that 280 characters including the HTML? I wonder if i should just send the Markdown-formatted plaintext over …

@matigo Weird. I get it whenever I post something >280 characters to WP that then gets sucked into MB via RSS. I wish there were more options for tweaking that.

@petebrown it seems to happen whether the RSS post has a title or not and regardless of length. I've made a number of edits to the RSS package sent to micro.blog in an effort to ditch the unnecessary link at the bottom of the posts.

I'm probably missing something really simple ...

@matigo I think that’s just what it does for any untitled incoming-via-RSS post that is longer than 280 characters. I wish there were an option to use a Wordpress excerpt or some such.

@matigo bite harder, ping @manton (I just did for you)

Okay, I'll bite. Why the heck does every socail post from my site include a link at the bottom rather than just using the one found in the timestamp? Is this because I'm using RSS?
