I can tag some people who are working on pleroma if you would like, I know there is some documentation around. The amount of other projects that have Implemented ActivityPub is getting up there now. Maybe the dev from @writeas_dev might be a good person to ask as they have been an already existing system trying to toe in AP support for a while now.
