If you are a Tooter, what are your top three (3) iOS tooting apps? please list in order of preference (1 as most preferred).

@rom Metatext, Toot, Mastodon. Unfortunately the developer of the first one is unable to continue developing due to personal health issues. It was the closest to Tweetie. Toot is like Twitterific.

@pratik loved Metatext when I used mastodon earlier in the year, and wasn’t aware of that. Too bad to hear.

@canion while it’s probably safe to assume these are mastodon apps, I’m going to pretend you just blog and talk to people in toots now.

@canion @rom Toot! and Mastoot for me. I like the UI of the official, but it’s missing too many features.

@pratik Tweetie? Sold! I was raving about Tweetie and what a game-changer it was to a friend just this weekend. When Twitter purchased Tweetie and built it to their specs, the charm was lost, so I moved on to Tweetbot and never looked back. Tapbots once supported App.Net. It’d be cool if they released a version for Mastodon.

@pimoore what features is the Mastodon app missing?

@josephaleo I was using Tweetbot until recently; even subscribed to it so yeah, I hope they jump on the Mastodon bandwagon

@rom @pimoore @canion @pratik at the moment you can't increase the font size in Toot! but the developer has recently pushed out two updates and intends to do more so hopefully at some point. I did see them respond to a comment on mastodon that it will take a lot of work so they want to do smaller easier things first given it's just one person.

• replying to a toot and scrolling back often loses place in the timeline (again)

@maique thanks! Saw Ivory currently on beta (from Tapbots). Maybe I'd wait and stick with Toot, MetaText and Mastodon for the moment.
