@macgenie Is there a reason there’s a 280 character limit on RSS feeds but not on micro.blog hosted accounts? I get the short posts, but it feels like it contradicts the “don’t hesitate to go over.” (I’m new here though, so perhaps I’m missing something.)
@jamescousins Sorry I missed this earlier. There is a 280 limit for posts to appear on the timeline without truncation. If you go over, your micro-blog hosted blog will have your full post with a title, and that title with appear in the timeline. (Currently, the 280-character limit doesn't restrict replies. So you will see some very long replies in the timeline. That will change in a future version!)
@macgenie Ah. That makes sense. I was wondering why I could see long posts in timeline but was unable to post 281 characters without truncation. Thanks.
