For folks who read my blog via the weekly newsletter instead of via RSS, last week’s email was a rollercoaster. Starts with hope, ends with anger.

@manton is it possible to use your domain name for the newsletter? noticed yours comes from micro.blog instead of your main domain

@lucaspuskaric Not currently but that would be a great thing to support.

@manton Thank you for posting this, I actually hadn’t seen what the weekly newsletters were like, but yours is a good example of why weekly might make sense, more of a sense of journey vs a list of posts day-by-day.

@SteveSawczyn I like weekly too. It really depends on how often you blog and the kind of posts. That’s why we have some settings to control how it works.

@manton I do wish we could have a weekly newsletter, but somehow also have the ability to send a longer form post with title out right away. Kind of combining two of the existing options. I should probably spend less time coming up with weird edge cases like this and more time actually blogging. :)

@SteveSawczyn That would be nice. You could temporary change the setting from weekly to one-time, post to your blog, then change it back.

@manton That’s a great idea. If this works the way I think it will, the individual post would be sent out right away and also potentially included in the weekly newsletter after the settings are changed back. I see that as a really cool way to get a more timely post out now while still maintaining a consistent weekly/monthly recap.
