@kordumb How does this make sense for Memphis? Am I missing something? Not a Justin Holiday fan, if that's not clear. Feel bad for Marshon Brooks. He's had a rough week.

@grayareas I have a few thoughts on that A) Wallace, their GM, is as bad if not worse than Gar/Pax, exhibit A being the Brooks fiasco. B) They are nearing the end of the Conley/Gasol era and want to be competitive. I don't think they actually believe they can win, but Holiday adds an outside threat. C) maybe Brooks/Seldon wanted out after going through the previous trade fiasco. Lastly, second round picks aren't that big of a deal. Bulls will probably sell em for cash anyways... 🙄

@kordumb @grayareas As a season ticket holder VERY close to the situation... A) Yes. B) Correct. C) Not exactly. Brooks wouldn’t play defense and Selden is just a damn mess. If they lose to Brooklyn tonight, there may be rioting. I’ll be there to watch it burn.

@kordumb @grayareas Also... the Brooks trade fiasco is all on Phoenix. I believe this based on my sources in whom I absolutely trust.

@paulcraig901 appreciate the response, especially to C since I haven't watched much Memphis this year. Holiday is definitely superior to either player, but I'm still holding out hope for Seldon, given his age, size, and stint at Kansas. Bulls essentially gave up an expiring contract for two second round picks and I wouldn't be surprised if Brooks get waived.

@paulcraig901 Phoenix may in fact be responsible, but according to Wallace and Memphis, they never even spoke to Phoenix, but only spoke through Washington leading up to it. This feels like a problem in itself for both sides, imo. But maybe that's just how business is done in the NBA...

@kordumb It was a very strange situation from what I’ve been told. Too many people involved trying to move to fast. The details are hilarious and unfortunately must remain unsaid.
