I’m reintroducing the cell swipe-actions in the latest Icro beta. I use the iOS 13 long-press context menu wherever possible and overestimated the general adoption. I hope iOS 14 brings speed and discoverability improvements to the context menus to drive the adoption.

@hartlco Nice! Thank you for the update.

@hartlco I just joined the beta and like the reintroduction of swipe-actions for conversations and replies. Feels natural. I do prefer the context menus as well for most actions. I am hoping for improvements there in iOS 14 as well.

Where did you prefer to get feedback on the beta? Commenting here or through TestFlight?

@donnydavis I prefer through mail/TestFlight or directly on Github. Looking forward hearing from you!

@hartlco cool. Didn't realize there was a Github repo. I'll add feedback there to make it easier for you to keep track of. 🙂

@hartlco I don't think you should do away with the menu on the bottom as it does offer some good stuff (likes and share button). You could hide the three dots and tapping the post brings up the menu (similar to the Tweetbot app).

@kaa I think this is a great suggestion. It will require some changes on my link-tap-detection but should be doable. Thank you!

@hartlco also was thinking, are you going to give the option to hide the titles in the menu bar?

@hartlco coming along very nicely. You've made me curious about when I use swipe vs. long-press…I can't figure out my own heuristic!
