@sgtstretch some, but not all. I kind-of understand the rationale at that point. But I want my trackpad centered in front of the screen, not centered based on the QWERTY section of my keyboard.
@mdrockwell wider keyboards, especially with numpads, centering to where your thumbs are when you’re hovering over home row keys.
@mdrockwell Most non-Apple laptops are not designed with as much attention to symmetry and ergonomics as Apple laptops. (Some are, of course.) I think part of it is that Apple caters to the high-end of the market ($1,000 and up) while PC manufacturers run the gamut, and you’d have to be pretty serious about hardware to spend $1,000 on a PC laptop.
@mdrockwell oh I think it’s obnoxious, having the entire keyboard off center is super awkward also.
@mdrockwell I always believed Apple, or some other "corporate" idiot, has a patent for perfectly centered trackpads...
