@joshsullivan Bwahaha, sorry! Your site is looking good. We are all going to end up in a @jack level of confusion trying to decide what to post where! My Hugo site was a simple landing page for my wife's domain.
@joshsullivan @canion Fun! And that's my favorite Hugo theme (used a variation of it on baty.net). Hugo/Netlify/Git is a powerful combination.
@jack @joshsullivan It sure is a powerful combination. How did I not know about this earlier? And what's the catch? What's in it for Netlify?
@jack I would love it if that could happen. Blot with the Jane theme would be the perfect platform for me. When I initially saw your site baty.net, I immediately took to the theme. Unfortunately I never really had time to dig into Hugo, and the one other time I tried, albeit without much enthusiasm, I hit a snag and gave up. Thanks to @canion pointing out Bryce Wray's site, I was able to get it up and running.
@canion @jack I was wondering the same thing. I guess the price of their enterprise customers covers the cost of smaller SSGs sites. If they had another tier at $5/10/15 I would have signed up to support them.
Because GitHub gives private repos now, plus Netlify, the entire set up costs the price of the domain, easily the cheapest website I've built.
@Blot @joshsullivan Yep, that's the one! I'm itching to try porting it but I would almost certainly lose a race with you :).
@jack have now moved all my sites to hugo/git/netlify. Learned a lot more about hugo in the process.
